LIDER Programme – the purpose of the program is to expand the competence of young scientists in independently planning, managing, and leading their own research teams while carrying out projects that have the potential for implementation in the economy.
Grant period: 01.01.2014-17.01.2026
Project description:
The goal of the project is to develop and fabricate a new microsystem used to culture and model the growth of cardiac muscle cells. The main task is to develop the geometry of the microcircuit in such a way that the conditions for cell culture are as close as possible to those in vivo. In addition, it is planned to create suitable scaffolds in the microchannels of the system to enable spatial arrangement and growth of myocardial cells. For this purpose, biomaterials used in classical tissue engineering (e.g., hydrogels) will be used.
